Clothes drying
If you like the smell of freshly air-dried clothes, you will need an area for this. You could have a traditonal washing line, a whirly gig or an expandable washing line that reels back in when you're done.
Bins
With the increase in the provision of recycling facilities, most of us have more than one bin.
It is a good idea to consider building a screen to hide your bins from view. You can use fencing trellising or make your own using bamboo, reed or willow screening.
Composting
Having a compost heap or compost bin in your garden lets you recycle your garden waste into useable compost for improving your soil. If you intend to grow your own vegetables, a compost bin is a must.
Likewise, if you would like to reduce the waste you send to landfill, composting is one of the most efficient ways to reduce certain types of household waste.
